Colombia has been to interest in studying heavy drati horses of the French breed given their genetic quality and with a view to improving their performance to participate in jumping competition throughout South America that is why the objective of the present study was to estimate Bayesian analysis genetic parameters for jump traits in a population of French saddle horses in the Antioquia East. Using information from the hatchery Harás San Isidro, Sixty-three French saddle animals aged 0 to 36 months were evaluated for head and neck conformation (CACU), chest, shoulder and back conformation (PHE), conformation of the back (DRC), kidneys and cross), rear profile or rump (PTG), joints (ART), anterior restraints (APANT), posterior restraints (APOS), locomotion (LOC), overall impression and elegance (IMCO). The statistical methodology used was Bayesian analysis which yielded results heredability between 0,124 and 0,493 and genetic correlations between 0,53 and 0,96. The results obtained present fundamental estimates for the application of genetic selection in hatcheries seeking to offer tools for decision-making in Colombian hatcheries.
